Ingredients
What you need:
- 112g mashed potato
- 84g self-raising flour
- 56g butter
- 3 tbs milk (optional and may not be needed)
- 1 tbs mixed herbs
What to do
- With the help from a grown up, preheat the oven to 200°C (190°c fan) and brush a baking sheet with a little oil.
- Weigh out the flour and using your fingers rub together with the butter, until it looks like sand.
- Mix in the potato and mixed herbs and SLOWLY stir in the milk until you have nice soft dough. (The amount of milk will depend on the wetness of the potato)
- Now using your hands, pick up your dough and put it on a floured mat. Roll out as fat as your little finger and cut out your shapes. If you want to, you can cut out 4 heart shaped cakes and a long wiggly worm to make a four-leaf clover. If not, then use whatever shapes you like.
- With the help of a grown up, place your cakes in a pre-heated oven, 190°C but please remember that the oven is hot! Cook for about 12-15 mins. Take out and cool on a rack.
