Payments are non-refundable unless under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the class leader. Completed forms and a deposit to cover the cost of the first class is required to secure a place. Any classes missed due to holidays or ill health are non refundable. This refers to group cancellations also. In the event of a class leader having to cancel a class, a refund or credit towards the following term will be issued.
Whilst in class parents/carers are responsible for any child in their care. To adhere to health and safety standards parents/carers must ensure that long hair is tied back at all times and children refrain from eating any mixture containing raw eggs. Where a child has a food allergy, the parent/carer must ensure mini masterchefs is made aware of this when signing up. The accompanying adult is, at all times, responsible for ensuring the food used is suitable for the child. Existing customers will be given first refusal of their space
Cooking & Allergies
We are always keen to help families where allergies are an issue and understand the dangers involved. When signing up a child for a class or workshop it is important that any allergies are made known to us. People's wants and needs vary.
For some parents it is very important for their child to be in an environment with the allergens, with their own personal substitution, so that their child can begin to understand what they can and cannot have, whilst some parents prefer the room to be completely free of the particular food. It is the parent's responsibility to discuss with us any allergy issues they or their child may have. In cases of a gluten free diet children will be asked to bring their own flour to class each week to safeguard against contamination in storage. They will weigh out first to avoid contamination on the scales.
Children with allergies will have their food cooked on the top shelf to avoid any contamination falling from the trays above. In the case of dairy free diets we can make substitutions, most usually personally, but if you would prefer the substitutions to apply to the whole class please ensure that you discuss this before the start of term. All foods are nut free, however many ingredients have traces of nuts if this is not suitable for your child, again it is vital you discuss this with us. Where an allergy is present within the room, the class will be made aware of this to avoid other parents bringing in items that may put a child at risk. If you would prefer to keep this confidential then please inform us.

Why Mini Masterchefs for your child
At mini masterchefs classes, your child will make fun and delicious recipes and will learn how and where certain foods are grown and where they come from. We encourage children to be adventurous with food and most importantly we want children to begin to enjoy cooking and baking at an early age. The classes are held weekly and are approximately one hour long. Each week we cook with a variety of fresh ingredients and we have themed weeks depending on the time of year.
Don't take our word for it...
My children love Mini Masterchefs. We’ve done both the weekly classes and the holiday classes and it’s great fun! A chance to learn new recipes and have the freedom to cook while using a broad variety of ingredients and utensils. Thoroughly recommend it!
Wonderful class – Jenn is really helpful and the class is just the right level of ease / difficulty…and the food is yummy!
“Fantastic course to engage children in trying, using and cooking a variety of foods.”
Classes were very relaxed, children could ask questions throughout the lessons. Jenn made all of the children very comfortable and is very approachable. The recipes were easy and the children could do 90% of them themselves, so the children are proud. Looking forward to next term and Isha looks forward to Friday morning lessons.
Amazing, I have watched Holly come out of her shell, sharing (most of the time!) and interacting with the other children and even trying foods I was sure that she would say no to!
I regularly attend Mini Masterchefs with my three-year-old son and it’s the highlight of his week. The classes move at a relaxed pace and are perfectly pitched for the ages of all the children. Jenn makes the classes both fun and educational with the bonus of some delicious savoury or sweet treats to finish. Most of all, it’s inspired us to bake and cook with the children at home too. Highly recommended.
My daughter absolutely loves this cooking class, I have been going for a year and a half now as I use to go with my little boy, and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Jenn is simply amazing with the children and they have so much fun cooking, playing and learning new things as well as trying new foods! Highly recommend this class.
My eldest son has been attending mini masterchefs since he was almost 3. He’s now 6 and still loves every session. It was lovely to watch his confidence grow and become an expert at baking. Plus all the recipes have been pretty tasty so far!
An excellent idea, children learning cooking skills, having fun and making a mess, but not in my house!
My son chose to have a mini masterchefs birthday party last year and Jenn was amazing in every aspect. She provided all ingredients, equipment and party food, even sourcing plates and napkins that matched the theme. Jenn’s patience and calming nature was very much appreciated, and revered, handling a large group of excitable 6 year olds.
