Ingredients
Homely honey biscuits (makes approx. 6)
- 58g plain flour
- 25g granulated sugar
- 1/3 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
- 33g butter
- 1 teaspoon of clear honey
- 1 teaspoon of milk
- 5-10g dried fruit (optional)
What to do
- With the help of a grown up, pre-heat the oven to 180°C
- Gently warm the honey and milk together, give it a little stir and allow to cool down. Add the bicarbonate of soda and mix with a fork until it become frothy.
- Cream the butter and sugar in a separate bowl. Now weigh out the flour. Add the frothy mixture and the flour and mix all together until you have a nice soft dough. If you wanted to, you could add in dried fruit at this stage. Roll into small balls roughly the same size.
- Place on a baking tray and press down on the top a little with a fork. Bake for about 10 mins until golden brown. Leave on a wire rack to cool down. Decorate with yellow and black icing for the full bumble bee affect.
